Frolics and Fellowship
In order to raise money budgeted to support our mission programs, a committee of optimists has determined that we can both address our need to raise dollars to support missions AND enhance fellowship opportunities for our members and the broader community.
Frolics and Fellowship is a series of events that will stretch throughout the year. The Frolic offerings are designed to provide something for everyone. They may be targeted to the whole family or kids/youth-only outings or formal adults-only events. Members of our community can come together around shared interests.
If you didn’t get the opportunity to purchase Frolic tickets after worship on April 26, you will again have an opportunity to buy them in the Fellowship Center after worship this Sunday, May 3 and on Sunday, May 10. Please bring your checkbook. Or you may purchase them by contacting the church office: 609-896-1212 or office@pclawrenceville.org. Please note that no ticket sale is final until payment is received. We will be building a waiting list for some frolics in the hopes of creating a second offering.
We are still looking for members who would be willing to sponsor an additional Frolic and Fellowship event. The following are examples of potential Frolics. Let your imagination go wild. The following are a couple of samples to help your brainstorming:
Yoga and Fun for Kids -Children between the ages of three and seven are invited to join kids’ yoga instructor and PCOL member, ________, for an exploration of movement, relaxation, music, and fun. This play-focused introduction to basic yoga principles is the perfect way for your little one to relax, center, and get the wiggles out.
Towpath Bike Ride and Picnic - Come join the ______ family for a bike ride from Washington Crossing to Lambertville and back along the towpath by the beautiful Delaware River. Then enjoy a delicious picnic at the home of ________________ in Lawrenceville – and if it’s warm enough, take a dip in their pool!
General guidelines include the following: We encourage each Frolic to raise at least $200; Frolic costs are covered by the sponsor; remember that several people can join forces to sponsor a Frolic; sponsors are responsible to find or supply venues for their events. The church reserves the right to approve the Frolics.
Please contact the church office if you are interested in creating a new frolic. You can find a form to use for frolic information by clicking here. The deadline for all Frolic submissions is as soon as possible.
